Hear Me Roar announcement

It’s time to share a new anthology!

Hear Me Roar woman dragon book cover

Do you like dragons? Do you like empowered women? Do you like empowered dragons? Do you like lady dragons? They’re all in here.

Here’s a peek at the table of contents:

“The Princess of Dragons” by Aurora B. C. Donev
“Light Chaser, Dark Hunter” by Joseph Halden
“Defend Us in Battle” by Jennifer R. Donohue
“Blacktooth 500” by Gwen C. Katz
“Father Christmas, Mother Hubbard, The Dragon (And Other Selected Scenes From The End Of The World)” by Damascus Mincemeyer
“The Naga’s Mirror” by Amanda Kespohl
“Madam Librarian” by M.L.D. Curelas
“Of Dragon Genes and Pretty Girls” by Jennifer Lee Rossman
“Blackout” by JB Riley
“Ginny and the Ouroboros” by Stephanie Lorée
“Red in Tooth and Maw” by Laura VanArendonk Baugh
“Serpent in Paradise” by Megan Engelhardt
“Tia Time” by Kevin Cockle
“For the Glory of Gold” by Krista D. Ball
“The Rise of the Dragonblood Queen” by Blake Jessop
“A Night in the Philosopher’s Cave” by Candas Jane Dorsey

Some of these are authors I have shared anthologies with before, while others are new to me. But I’ve worked with editor Rhonda Parrish quite a bit and expect to have a solid lineup of dragons and women stories.

My story “Red in Tooth and Maw” (yes, I know that’s a misquote, it’s about a mouth) addresses dragons in wildlife conservation, the ethics of intervention, and cooperative husbandry. My day job really bled through here (and it’s where Dragons, Unicorns, Chimeras, and Clickers got started).

Hear Me Roar will release on September 22, 2020.
